My name is Meg, and I am a born and raised New Englander. I grew up on the sandy beaches of Cape Cod, summers spent digging for fiddler crabs, hunting for buried treasure, pretending to be mermaids and taking outdoor showers after a long day at the beach. I grew up helping out in my grandmothers antique shop, learning about history and the value of family heirlooms. My father taught my sisters and brother and I how to hike and ski and camp in the White Mountains. We never knew about campers and RVs, because camping to us meant hiking a 4,000 foot mountain, putting up a tent and building a fire. My mother taught us the importance of family dinners, homemade bread, snacks after school, and why you should make your bed every day.
